CLASSES OR SCHOOLS, WHICH IS RIGHT FOR ME?

FLY FISHING CLASSES

All of our fly fishing classes are in-store events, that take place at our Denver or Frisco, CO locations. These are shorter in length (typically 2 hours per class), and are meant to be taken a-la-carte, or as a whole, depending on how deep one wants to wade into the sport of fly fishing.

FLY FISHING SCHOOLS

All of our fly fishing schools are on-water events, that take place on one of our many permitted rivers we have across Colorado. These are longer in length (typically 6-8 hours), and are designed to allow our students to take a deeper dive into the various aspects of the sport of fly fishing.

Gear is not provided for any of the on-water schools. These are the next steps in your fly fishing education and at that point, it is best to learn with the gear you will be using moving forward.

Our instructors have the final decision on where the schools will be held. They take weather, stream conditions, and quality of fishing into account when deciding on where to hold their school.

Start with the basics. Fly Fishing 101, Knots, Bugs for Beginners, Beginner Casting, and then either the 1-Day or 2-Day Beginner School. All of the other classes and schools are to expand your knowledge.

Classes max out at 8 students and on-water schools are 6-9 students depending on the school.

With the exception of the Beginner Casting class, all classes take place in our community space located inside of our Denver location. The Beginner casting class takes place across the river from our Denver location.

If you cannot make it to your class give us a call prior to the class and we will get you re-scheduled to a future class. Due to limited space in our classes, we can only reschedule once.

We do offer private lessons. Our most popular are Casting, Fly Tying, and our on-water Half and Full day private instruction. We book casting and tying at $100 per hour and on-water is $395 half day per person and $495 full day per person.
